Kenyatta Sahmlin-Haynes, MD and Tasha Shamlin, MD founded LIMPA in pursuit of creating a medical environment that values patient safety above all else. Their high standards for care quality, sterile technique and treatment were the primary inspiration for developing LIMPA, and are reflected during every stage of patient care.

Meet The Doctors


The passion Kenyatta Shamlin-Haynes, MD and Tasha Shamlin, MD possess for care and service stem from the strong foundation built throughout their childhood by their parents Dr. Gwynn and Rev. Brunetta Shamlin. Both sisters are proud graduates of Baton Rouge Magnet High School and later went on to graduate from LSU in Baton Rouge.


Following their undergraduate program, they both completed medical school and dual Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Their drive for care and love for the Baton Rouge community led them back to their hometown to practice after completing their residency program.

Kenyatta Shamlin-Haynes, MD and Tasha Shamlin, MD dedication to assisting patients, while pursuing health and wellness inspired them to open the Medical Spa of Baton Rouge in 2008. The state-of-the-art facility provides medical services and procedures to patients seeking laser skin correction and rejuvenation, anti-aging technique, and body sculpting.

Over the years, Kenyatta Shamlin-Haynes, MD and Tasha Shamlin, MD have received several accreditations and awards for their professional, and philanthropic efforts.

They’ve also served as board members of many medical organizations.
